FD Calculator
Calculate your fixed deposit maturity amount, interest earned, effective yield and post-tax return in seconds, then see what the same money could earn in gold.
Same ₹1,00,000. Same 5 years.
An FD locks in a fixed rate. Gold has grown faster over the long run, and Spare8+ adds a fixed 5% reward on top of gold's growth.

Gold and Spare8+ figures use expected annual returns of 11% and 5%; they are not guaranteed and exclude 3% GST, buy/sell spreads, fees and taxes. FD terms vary by institution. This is educational information, not financial advice.

What is an FD calculator?
A fixed deposit (FD) is a savings product where you deposit a lump sum with a bank or NBFC for a fixed period, from 7 days to 10 years, at a fixed interest rate. An FD calculator works out what that deposit will be worth at maturity, so you can compare rates, tenures and banks before you book one.
Doing compound interest by hand is slow and easy to get wrong. This calculator does it instantly, shows your interest after tax, and lets you see how the same money would do in 24K gold or Spare8+.
How to use it
- Enter your deposit: type it or tap a preset.
- Set the interest rate your bank offers for that tenure.
- Choose the tenure and how often interest compounds.
- Pick your tax slab to see what you keep after tax.

Methodology: FD maturity uses the cumulative compound-interest formula and the rate, tenure and frequency you select. The tax option applies a simplified slab percentage to FD interest only and excludes cess, surcharge, TDS timing and individual circumstances. Gold and Spare8+ comparisons use expected annual returns of 11% and 5%, not a prediction or promise. They exclude 3% GST, spreads, fees and taxes. Review current product terms and consider professional advice before acting.
